EYT+
A performance group focused on creating excellent theatre

Take part in excellent youth theatre!
EYT+ gives students who are interested in taking acting seriously the chance to create high quality theatre, for an audience of both their friends and families, but also members of the wider theatre community.
Unlike EYT's other classes, students have to audition to take part in EYT+. The primary factors that are taken into account are work ethic, commitment, ability to work in a team, and acting ability. All EYT Senior students can apply, and outside students can audition to join.
Each year, the group takes on a two plays: a small-cast play from September to February, and a larger cast play from February to May. They also take part in skill building classes, which boost their skill set and prepare them for the world of professional acting.
EYT+ 2027 Project
Animal Farm by George Orwell
Adapted by Tatty Hennessy
All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
When the animals in the farmyard rebel against their tyrannical farmer and take control of the farm, they hope to create a world where they can be equal, happier and free. But as power shifts and a new leader emerges, they soon face the age-old question: what does it really mean to be equal?
Exploring loss of identity, the seductive allure of privilege, and the corrupting nature of political power, George Orwell's Animal Farm is a classic story of rebellion and treachery, and a timely reminder of the importance of resistance.
Auditions will take place in December 2026, and are open to all EYT Senior students.

Zero For The Young Dudes!, by Alistair McDowall (2026)
Directed by Ben Vaughan
When the threat arrives, stay in line, follow orders, self-censor. Survive. We’re at camp and there’s revolution in the air, and rebellion on the ground. In a world where there’s no room for self expression, play by the rules. Drill. Work. Eat. Repeat. If they can’t control the future, do they want a future? If you butcher my future, I will massacre your past.
Zero For The Young Dudes! was originally commissioned for the National Theatre of Great Britain's Connections Festival in 2017. It has been performed by schools and youth theatre all over the UK and across the world.

FEATS 2026: Nominated for Best Stage Presentation and The Adjudicator's Discretionary Award.

Macbeth High, by Jake Vaughan (2025)
Directed by Jake Vaughan
All her life, Beth has wanted to be popular. Although she’s not disliked, she feels anonymous. One day, three weird emo kids hand her a book that prophesies her ascension to the throne of Prom Queen. Alongside her friends Ellie and Beau, Beth uses her newfound confidence to rise up the school’s food chain, but begins to lose herself in the process.
Macbeth High is an original play by EYT teacher Jake Vaughan, loosely based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth, with an 80s teen flick twist. It was performed on the 27th and 28th of May 2025 at Espace Lumen, in Brussels, and on the 31st of May 2025 at Het Badhuistheater, in Amsterdam.

Lord of the Flies, by William Golding (2024)
Adapated for the stage by Nigel Williams

A plane carrying a group of school children crash lands on a deserted island. With no adult survivors, the kids are forced to fend for themselves. At first they co-operate, but when they split into two separate camps, their society falls into disarray, leading to a disturbing examination of human nature and a chilling conclusion.
The show was performed to great acclaim in The Warehouse Studio Theatre, Brussels, from the 21st to the 23rd of May 2024. After its run in Brussels, the show moved to Amsterdam for a final performance on the 25th of May 2024 at the Badhuistheater.
